Easy Alfredo Sauce

Bringing you a tasty and incredibly easy Alfredo sauce recipe so you never buy it from the store again! The best part is it’s only 6 ingredients (salt being one of them) and it comes together in just 15 minutes! You can use this sauce for so many different things and it tastes phenomenal. We personally love it with spaghetti squash and stuffed chicken breasts the most! So try out this recipe, perhaps for a quick and easy meal to make on a weeknight.

Recipe:

1/2 cup butter (1 stick)

2 cloves minced garlic

2 cups heavy cream (16 oz)

1/4 teaspoon white pepper

salt to taste (I do about 1/2 teaspoon)

1 1/2 cups shredded parmesan

Directions:

  1. First melt your butter on medium heat. Once melted, add in the garlic, white pepper, heavy cream, and salt. Stir to combine & let it come to a low boil. Once boiling, reduce heat to low and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes (stirring occasionally)
  2. Remove from the heat, and immediately add in your cheese slowly. (I add it a little at a time, stirring completely with a whisk before adding more-this helps prevent it from being to clumpy)
  3. Once all the cheese is added and stirred in, return back to stovetop on low and cook for another 4-5 minutes stirring constantly.
  4. It’s ready to serve your favorite way, or if you want to try it with these delicious savory stuffed chicken breasts on top (which I promise you do) – Check out this recipe here.

Notes:

Even though this recipe is only 6 ingredients, you can absolutely give it more depth by adding just a couple more ingredients, I love adding cumin, paprika, and even cinnamon sometimes. Just a small dash of any of these spices will go along way!

Make sure to pay attention, as dairy requires a lot of attention when its on the stove, to make sure you don’t burn the bottom or scorch the cream, stir constantly & if you need to- lower the heat.
