Grapefruit Elderflower Spritz (MOCKTAIL EDITION)

I absolutely love this mocktail recipe, because more often then not I want something tasty & refreshing to drink but I don’t want the alcohol! I am a absolute sucker for grapefruit, any time I see it on a menu my eyes light up! My go to mocktail at home is a big glass of regular soda water with a splash of lemon and grapefruit juice; so this is such a yummy elevated version of that.

Let me tell you, grapefruit and elderflower go so great together. This drink is really easy to make and you can garnish it in so many ways to still have a really cute and tasty drink without the alcohol! Here, I garnished with a grapefruit slice & a hibiscus flower to give it a nice pop of color, but any dehydrated fruit (grapefruit or lemon) would look great as well as edible flowers- which are so pretty by the way! So try this mocktail, then have an extra one for me! Cheers!

Recipe:

1 oz Elderflower Syrup

1 oz Lemon Juice

1 oz Grapefruit Juice

Grapefruit soda

Garnish: grapefruit slice (optional hibiscus flower, I got the hibiscus flowers in syrup at a local grocery store)

Directions:

  1. Add elderflower syrup, lemon juice, and grapefruit juice to a shaker with ice, shake until well chilled and combined.
  2. Strain into a wine glass filled with fresh ice.
  3. Top with grapefruit soda.
  4. Garnish with fresh grapefruit slice and/or whatever you’d like.
  5. Enjoy!

Notes:

I used the fever tree brand sparkling pink grapefruit soda and it tasted super yummy, however you can totally use squirt, your favorite sparkling water brand in grapefruit flavor (ie; Spindrift or Lacroix), or even just soda water!
